Hearthstone Huddle.
Welcome back!
This week I’m covering the top legendary creatures from the new expansion set. If you’ve been playing recently you’ve seen these already. Just five cards this week as there’s not that many new legends.
1. Dr. Boom. He’s a 7/7 for 7 that summons two 1/1 minions. These minions have deathrattle and deal 1-4 damage to a random enemy. This card is completely overpowered. It’s cost efficient and summons a minimum of 4 more damage that can balloon to 10 damage depending on how the bots explode. This card has single handedly caused the inclusion of Big Game Hunter in most builds.
2. Neptulon. It’s another 7/7 for 7 mana, only this time you put four random murloc cards into your hand as its summoned. This is a huge advantage for a class that despatately needs one. A shaman only card, it gives you immediate card advantage and possibly board advantage the turn after. The murlocs will usually synergy quite well together and swing the momentum in your favor.
3. Vol’Jin. This one is a priest only card and a 6/2 for five mana. Sounds like it’s not worth it only you get to trade toughness with another creature as it comes into play. Minimum target should be four toughness to be cost efficient but if it means you can trade up with another creature and gain board control then that’s the correct play.
4. Troggzor the Earthinator. It’s a 6/6 for 7 that summons a Burly Rockjaw Trogg every time your opponent casts a spell. Not as cost efficient as others but it summons a 3\5 that gets +2 attack each time the opponent casts a spell. This can get out of hand quick as a 3/5 is hard to take down, let alone a 6/6.
5. Sneed’s Old Shredder. A 5/7 for 8 so not cost efficient but it has a nasty deathrattle ability. A defense of 7 means it stays on the board and trades with multiple minions but it also spawns another legendary minion as it dies. Now this could be anything from Nat Pagle all the way to Deathwing. A bit of gamble but most of the time it will be worth it, especially if you get one that has a deathrattle effect or an immediate effect on the board.
That’s it for this week. Enjoy!
