So when Bungie’s last “Hot Fix” post ended on a cliff hanger, stating that the Fallen where retreating from the Rocket Yard and going else where, what is a poor Hunter to do? Go exploring of course! So there I was, Farming Public Events and searching for loot chests on Earth’s Forgotten Shore, and as I round a corner I find myself in uncharted territory…… literally. Following the shore line on my sparrow, I’m allowed to proceed through snow-covered canyons leading to a Hive stronghold. After blasting my way through, I proceeded into an underground cave system filled with Hive, Wizards, and even an Ogre . Inside there’s also multiple side caves for loot chests and enemy spawn points. After following the main tunnel I eventually ended up in the Refinery which is located….. wait for it….. The end of the Rocket Yard. Now I know Bungie said that the Fallen were searching for a new “summer home” and this was full of Hive, but I have yet to see this information posted…. anywhere! The name of this new location is “The Grottos” and I am adding a screen shot of the Refinery entrance as well as the location circled on the Earth map.
