We do it too, the bulk of us here at CP Gaming. Most of us have literally put in weeks of play time on the game as I have 3 characters over level 30. We complained when the loot cave went away and complained about the strange coins in Nightfall. We also haven’t been thrilled that the new raid was so fun to cheese and they fixed that. But truthfully, why did we buy the game?
We’ve been playing a broken game. We’ve loved it and adapted to it the way all of our play styles go but the game has never been on par with something that took 7 years to develop. If you think about the likes of Avatar taking James Cameron’s inspiration years and years to create and then look at the comparison, there really isn’t one.
We, as most of you I’m sure, love getting loot. The game is loot based and as flawed as crucible loot and loot drops in general are, we still log in every day and go out for the prowl. The Mythoclast still haunts me at night and the Gjallahorn is my unicorn but I’ve frankly loved the hunt. I recently hit 32 on one of my warlocks and it took some of the excitement away because we’re always striving to arrive at a new Destiny.
While I’m trying my best here to appreciate you Bungie, I’ve recently acquired a pair of Turtle Beach headphones and the sounds that I hear now added an entirely new dimension to the game. We’re ready for Hard Raid and are looking forward to the possibilities in the next DLC. So to start of the new year with a more recent post, I’m tipping my theoretical hat over my more becoming bald head to you Bungie. It’s been the best $80 I’ve spent in a really long time.
And let’s throw out a tag to Mike Birbligia. I heard in one of his bits that he gets google alerts when mentioned in posts. I hope you enjoy Destiny. If you don’t, or don’t play at all, then you should grab a pizza, get out of your sleeping bag, and become legend.
